So after almost 4 months of busy schedule, I finally decided to gift myself with a short holiday trip. College was over and exams are coming, so this was the best time for me to take a short break from routine. This time, I went to Lavasa with my parents. LAVASA CITY FROM NATURE TRAILS BY "EKAANT" Lavasa is a planned city which is still under construction near Pune. It is stylistically based on the Italian town Portofino.  In 2010, The Indian Environment and Forests Ministry ordered a cease on construction, as this project violated environmental laws; but in late 2011, the cease was cancelled. Alang fort from Madan So after a lot of planning, discussions, & research we decided to go for the toughest trek of Maharashtra; the Alang-Madan-Kulang trek! Alang_Madan-Kulang are 3 different forts which are joined by small routes and all three forts are difficult to hike. If you're hiking somewhere else in Sahyadri's and see the route is no longer leading anywhere, I would say you should turn back and look for another route. But here, at AMK, if you see the road is blocked due to some landslide or huge chunks of rocks and see the route is no longer leading anywhere; it won't be a great suggestion to turn back and look for another route. At AMK, you have to cross those chunks somehow and go ahead. The route is very much exposed to deep valleys and the width of route is very short; i.e only 1 person can walk at a time. I've been at this place twice before. And I somehow felt like I should write about this as this is can be a best place to find solitude. Sunrise from East. 'Gaimukh' is nothing but an endpoint of "Thane city", and a part of 'Vasai Creek' flows from here. I visited this place 2 years ago for the first time in my life, and to be honest; it was nothing but a pile of junk. Sadly, I don't have any pictures of the creek from 2 years ago; but now, it has been developed so that citizens can come and spend their time here. Gaimukh Temple (Downloaded from Google) The 'Gaimukh creek' is about 13 km from Thane Railway station near Ghodbunder road. There's Gaimukh temple on the way, hence this area is known as Gaimukh. I know it's pretty late to write about this experience but I've been very busy with other stuff which I really don't know why I was engaged in it (LOL). This blog is about Harishchandra Gad which is in Ahemadnagar District, Maharashtra. There are 3 routes by which you go up there. 1) Nalichi Vaat - Most difficult and dangerous as well 2) Khireshwar - A level easier than nalichi vat. 3) Pachnai - Easiest of all but yet entertaining. just another fog covered view We (a group of 7 people) went there with a professional trekking group called "Treks and Hikes" on 9th of July,2017. Basic itinerary of the trek was to catch the Kasara local train from your nearest railway station which reaches Kasara in midnight. From there, there will be private vehicles which take you to the base village, Pachnai. We took the train and it was a very pleasing travel time as we all friends were just enjoying ourselves playing cards and shouting and making chaos....

Mornings at Gangtok So after a long period of studies, exams, entrance exams and all the chaos that a HSC student goes through, Gangtok-Pelling-Darjeeling was the most awaited trip of the year for me. I went there with my family through tours and travels company named 'Tulip Holidays'. So without wasting any time, I'm starting to share my travel experience. Firstly, let me tell you that Gangtok and Pelling are cities in Sikkim whereas Darjeeling is a city in West Bengal. I'm displaying the basic tour plan here, so you'll get an idea what the blog is all about. I'm splitting the blog in 3 parts, namely Gangtok, Pelling & Darjeeling.
